Ahmanson Development
The approval of the Ahmanson project represents the worst in human integrity, morality and the lack of realism about our state of existence.
If you drive downtown to the Ahmanson headquarters, you will pass burned-out buildings and see the hopelessness of Los Angeles. Instead of spending money to rebuild our city, we are allowing them to bulldoze 1,385 mature oak trees and make another city between Agoura and Calabasas. Business men and women who supported this project were misguided or driven by their own greed.
The pillars of our community are crumbling and the moral thread of our civilization is gone. History repeats itself. The Indians were fed the same story; we will give you all this if we just get that. We know how that story ended.
