Crystal Court Lights Up: Across Bear Street from South Coast Plaza, Crystal Court has been in a metamorphosis of sorts to try to emulate the success of its bigger neighbor.
To make the mall more inviting, computerized lighting has been installed to raise or lower the light levels. This allows the mall to use incandescent lighting, instead of harsher fluorescent light bulbs, with a minimum of energy waste or early-bulb replacement.
