BUSINESS NEWS : AAC Corp. Buys N.Y. Firm for $1.5 Million
The Pasadena-based telemanagement firm AAC Corp. has acquired New York-headquartered Information Control Corp., a 12-year-old company specializing in telecommunications and utilities cost management.
The $1.5-million transaction was announced Monday by AAC President Ricardo G. Brutocao and ICC President Brian Leigh. Under the agreement, Leigh becomes vice president and general manager of AAC’s professional services division.
Existing ICC staff will be retained and probably enlarged, Brutocao said.
ICC provides primary cost management services to clients. Through its telecommunication billing verification service, ICC ensures that clients are charged correctly and that telecom providers are in compliance with tariffs.
“ICC complements our existing professional services activities,” Brutocao said. “Its status as a cost management expert enhances our own, and we expect to realize excellent crossover business between ICC, our Pasadena-based units and our Delphi Group, which operates from the San Francisco Bay Area.”
