Clinton Lifts Abortion Curbs

Your convoluted reasoning “Boldness in Very Good Causes” (editorial, Jan. 23) staggers the mind.

There are two “pressure groups” on the abortion issue. Contrary to your view, Clinton was clearly held hostage to that group which favors abortions.

By what measure do you establish that “most Americans agree that women have a right to abortion”? There are hundreds of thousands--perhaps millions--who do not agree. You are guilty of wishful thinking (at best) or bias (at worst).
