Stock Sale: Environmental services company Watson General Corp. said on Tuesday that it has raised $910,192 through the sale of common stock.
The Irvine-based company completed a private placement of 709,520 shares and 177,380 three-year options, each of which can be used to purchase an additional share. Ron Crane, company president, said the money will be used to expand marketing and sales nationwide.
Through its Toxguard Systems subsidiary, Watson General provides fuel tank removal, installation, testing, environmental consulting and cleanup. And through its EnvirAlert division, the company develops and sells computer systems that monitor tanks and alert an operator if a leak occurs.
The company’s stock closed at $2.125, down 12.5 cents a share, in Tuesday’s trading on the NASDAQ market.
