Two women have been appointed to the board of directors of the San Fernando Valley Fair, a spokesman for the governor’s office has announced.
Carol Anne Gillis of Van Nuys and Lucille Pershing of Burbank were appointed last week to the 51st District Agricultural Assn. board of directors, which puts on the fair, said Franz Wisner of Gov. Pete Wilson’s office.
Gillis has been a real estate broker since 1980 and was a concessions superintendent for the Valley Fair in 1991. Pershing was appointed to the board last June and is a former associate member of La Providencia Guild of Childrens Hospital of Los Angeles.
