BURBANK : Gunman Steals Car From L.A. Family
A 32-year-old man traveling with his wife and three children was confronted by an armed man who demanded the family’s sedan during a carjacking in Burbank, police said Monday.
No arrests have been made in the crime, which took place in the 700 block of South Lake Street about 9:45 p.m. Friday, Burbank Police Sgt. Bob Brode said. No one was injured.
Alberto Gonzalez of Los Angeles was getting out of his car when he saw another car stop nearby, Brode said. The next thing he realized, Gonzalez told police, a man was holding a pistol to his head.
The gunman demanded the keys to Gonzalez’s car, Brode said, but they allowed Gonzalez’ wife and children to go free. The gunman then got into Gonzalez’s car and tried to make a U-turn, colliding with the car that he and two other men had arrived in. The robbers drove both cars away and neither has been found.
