World IN BRIEF : ARMENIA : Premier, Cabinet Quit Over Budget

Armenia’s prime minister and Cabinet resigned in a dispute with the president and Parliament over the budget for the former Soviet republic, news agencies said. President Levon Ter-Petrosyan accepted the resignations but asked Prime Minister Khosrov Arutyunyan to keep working until a new Cabinet is named in a week, Russia’s Itar-Tass news agency and Armenia’s Snark news agency said. Neither agency elaborated on specifics of the budget or the objections.
