BOYS’ BASKETBALL ROUNDUP : Rancho Alamitos’ Three-Pointers Top Bolsa Grande

Edward Taylor scored 17 points, including four three-pointers as Rancho Alamitos beat Bolsa Grande, 67-55, in a Garden Grove League boys’ basketball game Tuesday at Bolsa Grande.

Helmut Bustamante and David Guzman added 15 each for Rancho Alamitos (11-10, 7-3). Manh Pham had 11 points for Bolsa Grande (6-13, 1-9).

In the Olympic League:

Capistrano Valley Christian 58, Whittier Christian 49--Troy Rodarmel scored 17 points for (17-3, 7-2), which outscored Whittier Christian by nine points in the fourth quarter. Jeff Rutter and Tyler Ream each scored 11 points for Whittier Christian (10-9, 5-3).

Calvary Chapel 82, Cerritos Valley Christian 65--Chase Lubbock had 25 points and Sabe Younger had 23 points and 15 rebounds for host Calvary Chapel (9-12, 3-5). Steve DeGraf had 40 points for Valley Christian.

Brethren Christian 69, Orange Lutheran 59--Reggie Davis scored 17 points, Seth Thomas 14, Richard Mendoza 13 and Seth Carey 12 for host Brethren Christian (15-7, 9-0). Rod Sherman had 19 for Orange Lutheran (9-9, 4-4).

In the Academy League:

Liberty Christian 69, St. Michael’s Prep 42--Toby Curto scored 30 points for Liberty Christian (13-4, 5-1). Chuck Sesma had 12 for St. Michael’s (0-5 in league).

In the Metro League:

Corona Christian 68, Pacific Shores 50--Senior forward Chris Ross had 29 points and 11 rebounds for Pacific Shores (1-7, 0-4). Billy Taylor scored 33 points for Corona Christian, which is 3-5 in the league.
