Furor Over Gays in Military
I am not homosexual and have no close friends or relatives whom I believe or know to be homosexual. I voted for George Bush in both of the last two elections and have voted for some Republicans in every partisan election since I started voting over 20 years ago. The display of hypocrisy and bigotry by members of Congress over the President’s decision to end unwarranted discrimination against gays in our nation’s armed forces is disgusting.
No wonder Americans have little respect for Congress and its members. They get our contempt the old-fashioned way; they earn it.
