Furor Over Gays in Military
Clinton and Defense Secretary Les Aspin may get it: Sens. Sam Nunn, Bob Dole and the Joint Chiefs definitely don’t. The problem in the military is straights, not gays. It was a straight sailor who recently beat a gay sailor to death; it was straight naval officers who mauled women at the Tailhook convention. Does anyone in Washington see the connection?
Heterosexual enlisted personnel and officers obviously need a lot of education and behavior modification.
