Furor Over Gays in Military
The argument that a devoutly religious person would resign from the military if gay servicemen and women are acknowledged is deeply flawed. Would a deeply religious person be able to kill the enemy in battle, and disobey one of God’s highest laws? That, to me, seems more of a threat to our national security. The religious right’s orchestrated opposition to President Clinton’s civil rights move will be washed away by the tides of reason and understanding, thank God!
