A Southeastern Conference spokesman said the SEC is flexible toward further expansion but that no formal talks have been held with Texas and Texas A&M; of the Southwest Conference.
Mark Whitworth commented after Louisiana State athletic director Joe Dean mentioned informal talks on an administrators’ level between SEC officials and the two Texas schools.
