Two Centers Sold: Two Orange County retail centers recently changed hands.
Freeway Industrial Park Inc. bought the 78,500-square-foot College Plaza retail center at 7227 Edinger Ave. in Huntington Beach. The Resolution Trust Corp., which is disposing of HomeFed Bank’s real estate assets, sold the site for $1.7 million. Lee & Associates Commercial Real Estate Services in Santa Ana represented the buyer.
And an unidentified investor snapped up a 48,000-square-foot center at Bolsa Chica Street and Heil Avenue in Huntington Beach at a much heftier price of $5.7 million. It is anchored by a Lucky supermarket and an Arco service station. CB Commercial represented the investor. Grubb & Ellis in Newport Beach represented the seller, Diversified Shopping Centers in Costa Mesa.
