American Fare: Four American musicals--”Assassins,” “Crazy for You,” “Grand Hotel” and “Kiss of the Spider Woman”--dominate the nominees for London’s Olivier Awards, the equivalent of New York’s Tonys, which will be presented April 18. The four were nominated for best musical, and also figure prominently in the competition for acting and creative honors. The best musical revival award will also go to a production of an American show since the contenders are “Annie Get Your Gun,” “Carousel” and “Lady Be Good.” Best play nominations went to “Six Degrees of Separation,” “Someone Who’ll Watch Over Me,” “The Gift of the Gorgon” and “The Street of Crocodiles.” Among other categories, American works are nominated for best drama (“Six Degrees of Separation”) and comedy (“Lost in Yonkers”).
