SAN FERNANDO : Pico Street Bus Service to End
Bus service on Pico Street in San Fernando will be eliminated Sunday.
Riders of five RTD bus lines through the city will need to catch connecting lines on the southbound side of San Fernando Road, just west of Kalisher Street, RTD and city officials said.
The temporary route changes will be in effect until a permanent waiting area for buses is constructed at the new Metrolink Station in Sylmar, scheduled to be completed in June.
Instead of traveling on Pico Street, bus lines 92/93, 410, 94, 230 and 239 will circle around Truman Street, Workman Street and San Fernando Mission Boulevard. The city of San Fernando requested the change to allow repaving work on Pico Street to move forward.
