Everyone Else Knows What Real Story Was
Last weekend’s big story was Cal’s victory over Duke, but you wouldn’t know it from Gene Wojciechowski’s story. The first seven paragraphs were about how Duke lost the game and how badly Coach Mike Krzyzewski felt.
The beginning of a story shouldn’t focus on the whimpers of the vanquished. Sure, Duke lost, but Cal won.
