Bar Stool’s Waiting: With reports circulating that President Clinton would join the “Cheers” bunch for its series finale, which taped Wednesday night, Dee Dee Myers, Clinton’s press secretary, hinted it was more likely Clinton might eventually be spliced into the taped performance. “We can’t do it this week,” Myers said. “I think there may be ways.” A White House aide who asked not to be identified said Clinton would like to appear on the show but the matter was complicated by his trip to the Vancouver summit with Russian President Boris N. Yeltsin and his father-in-law’s ill health.
