People, Wildlife Clash

Re “Flooding Shows Clash of People, Wildlife” March 21:

We’re part of a society that builds homes and businesses in flood channels and we blame the animals when it rains and causes flooding.

We build on landslide areas and complain when the hills fall down and take our houses with them. The cities say don’t blame us, we’re immune from any lawsuits. The developers are protected by statutes of limitations, and they say the best thing to do is to build in more flood channels and on top of more landslides. And the insurance companies are too smart to protect you with landslide and flood insurance.
