No Resting Place: Legendary Swedish-born actress Greta Garbo died three years ago but her remains have yet to find a final resting place. Garbo’s parents and younger sister are buried in a family plot in Stockholm’s Forest Cemetery, but the Swedish national news agency TT reported Tuesday that her niece, Gray Reisfield, who has closely guarded the whereabouts of Garbo’s remains, cannot decide where to put the ashes. Sole heir Reisfield faces a difficult choice, with several churches and communities with a Garbo connection offering to help. But she is reportedly worried about the risk of mass hysteria or vandalism if the public finds out where her aunt is buried. Garbo, an American citizen, died in New York on April 15, 1990, at age 84.
