Oxnard Men Indicted in Robberies
Two Oxnard men were indicted by federal grand juries for their roles in bank robberies, the FBI said Tuesday.
Tommy Santos Miramontes, 28, is accused of robbing the California Federal Bank at 2900 Saviers Road in Oxnard on Feb. 2, FBI Special Agent Charlie Parsons said. Miramontes already was in custody on unrelated charges, Parsons said.
Also indicted was Arnold Gilbert Valdivia, 31, who is accused of robbing the Bank of America at 9493 Telephone Road in Ventura on Jan. 22, a Bank of America at 954 Westlake Village Blvd. in Westlake Village, a Bank of America in Port Hueneme on Dec. 24 and a Home Savings Bank in Santa Maria on Jan. 15, the FBI said. Carlos Bernard Chacon, 29, of Oxnard has already pleaded guilty to robbing the Ventura Bank of America last Jan. 22, Parsons said.
The FBI also announced the conviction of Karey Jerome Long, 29, of Los Angeles, who is accused of robbing a First Nationwide Bank in Thousand Oaks in February and a Home Savings of America in Thousand Oaks and a Household Bank in Port Hueneme in January.
