Some Bought Dwight

Dwight Yoakam is making a big splash on The Times’ Southern California country chart with his new one, “This Time,” outselling Billy Ray Cyrus’ longtime leader, “Some Gave All.” Cyrus is now No. 2 in this area but still tops on the national country chart. Sade’s “Love Deluxe,” which came out last fall, is proving to be one of the most durable albums on the pop chart. Instead of slowing down its sales are improving, as indicated by a two-rung rise to No. 7. Speaking of durability, Snow’s “Informer” remains the top pop single in Southern California.
