Terri Garber, who was last seen on daytime as Suzanne Collier on “Santa Barbara,” has signed on to “General Hospital” in the role of Victoria Parker. Garber, who began appearing on “General Hospital” at the end of February, was seen in flashbacks experienced by Bill Eckert, played by Tony Geary.

Apparently, Bill had been paid to kidnap Victoria by an unknown person, and Victoria fell in love with Bill during her captivity. Bill is currently searching for Victoria, who he thought was dead, and his quest is causing a rift in his budding romance with Holly Scorpio, played by Emma Samms.

Also in the casting department, Bryan Dattilo was to make his daytime television debut on “Days of Our Lives” last week in the role of Lucas Roberts. Lucas, who is the son of Kate Roberts, played by soap veteran Deborah Adair, will become involved with Carrie Brady, played by Christie Clark.

Although new to soaps, Dattilo has appeared on the series “California Dreams,” “Doogie Howser, M.D.,” “In the Heat of the Night,” “Student Affairs,” “Class of ‘96” and “Charles in Charge.” He was also seen on the HBO production “Not Necessarily the News.” The actor’s film credits include “Arcade” and “Adventures of Grizzly Adams.”

Philip Brown, who was seen as Brian Johnson on the nighttime soap “Knots Landing,” is creating the role of Buck Huston on “Loving.” Upon his arrival in Corinth, Buck arranged to rescue Trisha McKenzie (played by Noelle Beck) from a faked mugging, thus ingratiating himself with Trisha and her husband Trucker (Robert Tyler). Since Beck will have her last scenes on “Loving” within the next couple of weeks, we will soon discover Buck’s plans for Trisha.

Howard Cross of the NFL’s New York Giants has been playing a recurring role as a barfly on “Loving,” and actor Ken Ard, who appears in the Broadway musical “Jelly’s Last Jam,” is playing a bartender on the soap.

New to the cast of “One Life to Live” is Susan Diol, who is creating the role of evangelist Angela Holliday. Susan will be remembered for her previous role of Emmy on “Days of Our Lives,” whose fans will remember that Emmy tried to murder Carly Manning (played by Crystal Chappell) because she wanted Carly’s fiance, Bo Brady (Robert Kelker Kelly).

Reiko Aylesworth plays Rebecca, one of Angela’s devoted followers.
