Wisconsin Officials Lift Advisory to Boil Water

Officials have lifted an advisory to boil drinking water, pronouncing the municipal water system free of a parasite found earlier.

About 55,000 residents of Sheboygan and nearby Sheboygan Falls and Kohler had been under instructions to boil water since last week because of cloudy tap water and the discovery of Cryptosporidium in water drawn from Lake Michigan.

No cases of illness had been confirmed in Sheboygan before the advisory was lifted Wednesday.
