Burlington Air Wins GM Pact: Burlington Air Express, an air cargo service, said Monday that it has won a contract to provide air cargo and communications services to General Motors Corp.
Burlington will ship goods and messages for GM between its subsidiaries in Europe and North America. The value of the contract was not disclosed. Burlington officials said they expect to ship 75 million to 100 million pounds of cargo a year for GM. A spokeswoman for Burlington, which is based in Irvine, said the contract is one of the largest awarded to the company.
