Pit Bull Attack at Elysian Park

This is to warn your readers of an unexpected danger in Elysian Park. While walking there with friends, I watched helplessly as two pit bulls, which were running loose, nearly killed one friend’s 4-month-old puppy. Five of us were unable to beat off the attack dogs until the owner belatedly arrived. The owner gave us what turned out to be a false phone number before he hurried away.

What if, instead of a puppy, the victim had been someone’s baby?

Because this pair of clearly dangerous dogs was running around loose and inadequately supervised in the park, and with an owner obviously unwilling to assume his responsibility for their behavior, I am concerned that there is a continuing danger to unwary park visitors.
