A suspect who had been evading police for more than a week has been captured in connection with the fatal shooting of a young man at a Glendale mini-mall parking lot, officials said.

Thomas Samer Zaza Jr., 25, of Eagle Rock was arrested in Sun Valley Wednesday on suspicion of killing Henrik Galstyan, 21, said Glendale Police Sgt. Lief Nicolaisen.

Galstyan was shot May 17, apparently during a dispute over money, in the 1400 block of East Colorado Street. He later died at a hospital.

Another suspect, Dmitri Egorov, 27, of Glendale was arrested last week and awaits arraignment June 4, officials said.

Based on investigative leads, police found Zaza at a store in Sun Valley, Nicolaisen said.

“He was hiding out. . . . He thought he had a safe haven from police,” he said.
