Tom Lassally Gets Senior VP Spot at Warner Bros.

Fast riser: Tom Lassally has been promoted to senior vice president of production at Warner Bros. Pictures. Lassally, 28, who has been vice president of production since 1990, has supervised work on such Warner Bros. films as “Doc Hollywood” and “Dave.” Lassally comes from a family of entertainment people. His father is Peter Lassally, one of David Letterman’s top producers, and his wife, Stacey Lassally, is president of production at TriStar Pictures.

Producer Mark Damon has started Mark Damon Productions in place of his former company, Vision. The company had nearly $60 million in sales at the Cannes Film Festival.

Paul Smith, who has played a major role in acquiring film projects for TriStar Pictures, has been promoted to senior vice president of operations and business affairs at the Culver City-based studio.

Propaganda Films has tapped Jan Wieringa to become executive producer of the commercial division. Wieringa has been an independent commercial producer.

Debbie Stasson joins TriStar Television as senior vice president of business affairs. Stasson had been vice president of business affairs at Orion Television.
