Dole Food Registers to Sell Securities
Dole Food Co. of Westlake Village said it filed a shelf registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission that would allow it to sell as much as $500 million of new debt or equity.
The terms of any sale would be determined at the time of the offering, Dole said. The company may sell securities to or through underwriters from time to time. Dole may also sell securities directly to other purchasers or through agents or broker-dealers.
The net proceeds from the sale of the securities will be used to reduce the company’s debt, Dole said.
Dole, a fresh fruit and vegetable producer, is also involved in other food production and distribution, commercial and industrial real estate development and resorts.
