Warner Bros. Extends Medical Coverage to Same-Sex Partners: The Burbank-based media company is extending its medical insurance plan to the families of same-sex domestic partners, effective Aug. 1. “Since our success as an entertainment company has been based on the contributions of (a) diverse population, we are pleased to recognize all our employees and to extend health benefits in this manner,” said Adrienne Jeanne Gary, senior vice president of human relations at the company. There is “no way of gauging” how many people will benefit from the change, said Dagne Vicente, vice president of employee benefits.
