Holiday Drunk-Driving Arrests at 49
The California Highway Patrol has arrested 49 people in Ventura County on suspicion of drunk driving since the start of the Fourth of July weekend, officials said Monday.
The motorists were arrested between 6 p.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Monday. Beefed-up holiday patrols were scheduled to end at midnight, the CHP said.
A final tally of arrests will be released today.
