Santa Clarita / Antelope Valley : Motorcyclist Killed in Crash With Pickup Truck
ANTELOPE VALLEY — A Littlerock man was killed Wednesday after his motorcycle slammed into a pickup truck in a desert area south of Palmdale, authorities said.
The 33-year-old victim, whose name has not been released, was driving east on Mount Emma Road near 47th Street East about 5 a.m. when he lost control of his motorcycle on a curve, California Highway Patrol Officer Miguel Siordia said.
The motorcycle, which was traveling about 60 m.p.h., crossed into the westbound lane and smashed into the left side of a pickup truck driven by Johnny Morris, 27, of Palmdale, Siordia said.
Morris was not injured, Siordia said.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics, a dispatcher said.
