GOLF : Booth Leads by One in Junior Event
Kellee Booth of Coto de Caza took a one-stroke lead after the opening round of the Wilson Geneva National Junior Golf Championship Wednesday at the Geneva National Golf Club in Lake Geneva, Wis.
Booth, a two-time Southern Section girls’ individual champion from Santa Margarita, shot a 73 on the 5,710-yard, par-72 course.
Booth leads second-place Heather Graff of Kennewick, Wash., in the girls’ division.

Alicia Allison of Santa Ana is four strokes off the pace after two rounds of the Las Vegas Founders’ Legacy Junior tournament at the Legacy Golf Club at Green Valley in Henderson, Nev. Allison shot a four-over-par 76 to go with her 74 from the first round. Jennie Stine of Scottsdale, Ariz., leads the girls’ division with a 146 total.
