The Music Guild of Los Angeles will add to its existing concert series--at the Wilshire-Ebell Theatre and at Pierce College in Woodland Hills--a new concert series in Gerald R. Daniel Recital Hall at Cal State Long Beach. In 1993-94, Music Guild will thus present a total of 16 concerts by six touring chamber ensembles in three locations.

The guild’s 49th consecutive season opens in October, when the Chilingirian String Quartet, with guest cellist Ronald Leonard, plays in Long Beach, Oct. 18, at Pierce College, Oct. 19, and at the Wilshire-Ebell, Oct. 20. The program includes works by Haydn, Beethoven and Schubert.

The New York-based Guild Piano Trio (violinist Janet Orenhstein, cellist Brooks Whitehouse and pianist Patricia Tao), with violist Evan Wilson, appears at all three locations, Nov. 15-17, playing music by Beethoven, Shostakovich and Brahms. On Dec. 1, the Golub-Kaplan-Carr Piano Trio plays a single concert at the Wilshire-Ebell, one featuring works by Mozart, Dvorak and Beethoven.
