The Driver’s Guide To Traffic Trouble

Road closures and repair work on freeways and surface streets in and around the Valley. Information has been provided by Caltrans and cities.

VENTURA FREEWAY (101)

* At Balboa Boulevard: One northbound lane will be closed from Balboa Boulevard to Louise Avenue from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday.

* At Haskell Avenue: The southbound Haskell Avenue off-ramp will be closed Sunday from 10 a.m. to noon.

HOLLYWOOD FREEWAY (101)

* At Cahuenga Boulevard: One northbound lane will be closed from Cahuenga Boulevard to Highland Avenue from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.

* At Ventura Boulevard: One lane in each direction will be closed from the Ventura Boulevard overpass to the Universal Center Drive overkpass from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday through Friday.

HOLLYWOOD FREEWAY (170)

* At Sheldon Street: One northbound lane will be closed from Sheldon Street to Branford Street, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday.

VENTURA FREEWAY (134)

* At the Foothill Freeway: The eastbound connector to the westbound Foothill Freeway (210) will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday.

SIMI VALLEY FREEWAY (118)

* At De Soto Avenue: Two westbound lanes will be closed from De Soto Avenue to Topanga Canyon Boulevard from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. Sunday.

SAN DIEGO FREEWAY (405)

* At Sepulveda Boulevard: The northbound connector to the east and westbound Ventura Freeway (101), the Sepulveda Boulevard off-ramp and the Ventura Boulevard on-ramp will be closed Sunday from 6 a.m. to noon.

GLENDALE FREEWAY (2)

* At Colorado Street: Northbound Colorado Street off-ramp will be closed Monday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

* At York Boulevard: The southbound York Boulevard off-ramp will be closed Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

GOLDEN STATE FREEWAY (5)

* At Paxton Street: One northbound lane will be closed from Paxton Street to Chatsworth Drive from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday.

* At Hollywood Way: One northbound lane will be closed from Hollywood Way to Roscoe Boulevard, including the Hollywood Way on-ramp and the Glenoaks Boulevard off-ramp, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday.

FOOTHILL FREEWAY (210)

* At Wentworth Street: Two eastbound lanes will be closed from Wentworth Street to Sunland Boulevard, including the Sunland Boulevard off-ramp, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday.

PASADENA FREEWAY (110)

* At Orange Grove Boulevard: The northbound Orange Grove Boulevard off-ramp will be closed from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday.

PALMDALE

* At Avenue Q: There will be some traffic restrictions on 20th Street East through August 6 from Avenue Q to Palmdale Boulevard.

BURBANK

* At 3rd Street: Only one westbound lane will be open on Angelino Avenue through the end of the year from 3rd Street to Glenoaks Boulevard.

* At Hollywood Way: Alameda Avenue will have random lane closures through the end of August from Hollywood Way to Olive Avenue.

ANTELOPE VALLEY

The following streets will be closed indefinitely: 235th Street from Avenue U to Palmdale Boulevard and Avenue S from Longview Road to 165th Street East.

WESTLAKE VILLAGE

There will be short, temporary closures in areas throughout the “First Neighborhood” area through the end of July.

LANCASTER

* At 10th Street West: Avenue L, from 10th Street West to 4th Street East, will be closed through March.

* The following streets will be closed through July: Avenue J at 27th Street East; Avenue J from 40th Street West to 65th Street West; 20th Street West from Avenue J to Avenue K-4; and 10th Street West from Lancaster Boulevard to Avenue J.
