CRENSHAW : Commercial-Office Building Burns
A fire last week in the Crenshaw district partially burned a two-story commercial and office structure and caused more than $1 million in damage.
According to Fire Department officials, the blaze broke out at 10:12 p.m. at 5400 Crenshaw Blvd. and was extinguished within two hours. No injuries were reported.
The building had two occupants on the street level, the Gold Return and Island Way Records, though Island Way moved to a new location on 54th Street five months ago.
