Hamilton Cloud Named VP of Quincy Jones’ New Firm
Hamilton S. Cloud II has been named vice president of QDE, the multimedia company recently formed by Quincy Jones and David Salzman. Hamilton’s duties will include overseeing first-run television programming, special events and interactive programming.
Cloud was previously vice president of production at Playboy Entertainment Group. Before that, he ran his own management and production company, Imaginary Entertainment, where his clients included Weird Al Yankovic and Nell Carter. Cloud also worked as a vice president at NBC.
Myron DuBow is Playboy Entertainment Group’s new senior vice president for business and legal affairs.
He will negotiate domestic pay television, international television and home video transactions.
He formerly was vice president of business affairs at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, responsible for worldwide television and pay television distribution for the studio.
Unapix Entertainment has hired Robert E. Baruc to run a new subsidiary that specializes in home video distribution.
Shelly Saarela was promoted to senior vice president of finance for The Lippin Group, an entertainment and corporate public relations agency.
