Hycor Biomedical Inc.: The Irvine producer of medical and diagnostic products said its profit for the second quarter rose 5% to $827,000, or 9 cents a share, from $787,000, or 9 cents a share, for the same period a year earlier. Revenue declined 7% to $6.3 million from $6.8 million. For the first half, profit dropped 56% to $698,000, or 8 cents a share, from $1.6 million, or 18 cents a share. Six-month revenue was down 11% to $12.2 million from $13.7 million.
