THOUSAND OAKS : Man Pleads Guilty to Bank Robbery
A Port Hueneme man has pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court to robbing a Thousand Oaks bank earlier this year, the FBI said Wednesday.
Alton Anthony Robertson, 29, admitted the Jan. 15 robbery at Home Savings Bank on Hillcrest Drive after being indicted by a federal grand jury in Los Angeles.
Robertson was arrested in connection with the bank robbery with another man, Karey Jerome Long, 29, of Los Angeles. Long also has pleaded guilty, the FBI said. In exchange for the guilty plea, a firearms charge against Robertson was dismissed, the FBI said.
Robertson could receive up to 25 years in federal prison and a fine of $10,000 when he is sentenced on Sept. 20. Long is scheduled to be sentenced on Aug. 23.
