Construction Zone Crash Kills Driver
ANAHEIM — An unidentified man was killed early Saturday when the car he was driving rammed into another vehicle on the Riverside Freeway.
Authorities said the man, believed to have been intoxicated, was westbound near Tustin Avenue shortly after 2 a.m., when his Honda Civic struck a Ford pickup that was stopped at a freeway construction barricade.
The truck’s driver, who was also not identified Saturday, reportedly suffered minor injuries. Both were taken to Anaheim Memorial Hospital, where the Honda’s driver later died, California Highway Patrol officers said.
