Business Failures in California Still Rising: The number of business failures in California are still on the rise, despite decreases nationwide, Dun & Bradstreet Corp. said. California had 3% more business failures in the first six months of 1993 versus the same period in 1992. But nationally, business failures fell nearly 10%. Joseph Duncan, an economist for Dun & Bradstreet, said: “I think it means California has a year or two of difficulties ahead.”
