PRO FOOTBALL / DAILY REPORT : Thompson Has Surgery on Hand
Running back Anthony Thompson had his broken right hand surgically repaired Sunday, and Knox said that Thompson will be required to wear a hard cast for the next two weeks.
“The fracture was pinned,” Coach Chuck Knox said. “They’ll take the hard cast off in two weeks and put a softer cast on which will enable him to play. It will be tough, though. It’s his right hand, and he’s a running back.”
Running back Russell White has a thigh bruise and his practice time will be limited. Running back Cleveland Gary returned to Florida to take care of personal business and will join the team in Cleveland on Tuesday night.
The Rams play the Browns Saturday.
