The Region : Libraries Reduce Hours

Library hours were sharply cut Friday at most of the county’s 87 libraries.

County libraries that were open six or seven days a week will be open four days, and those open three or four days will open only two days.

Following are the new hours of service:

West Covina Library, 1601 West Covina Parkway: 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

Claremont Library, 208 N. Harvard Ave.: 1 to 8 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

Rosemead Library, 8800 Valley Blvd.: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

Temple City Library, 5939 Golden West Ave.: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

Hacienda Heights Library, 16010 La Monde St.: 1 to 8 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

Rowland Heights Library, 1850 Nogales St.: 1 to 8 p.m. Monday and Wednesday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Diamond Bar Library, 1061 S. Grand Ave.: 1 to 8 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

San Dimas Library, 145 N. Walnut Ave.: 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Baldwin Park Library, 4181 Baldwin Park Blvd.: 1 to 8 p.m. Monday and Wednesday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday.

El Monte Library, 3224 N. Tyler Ave.: 1 to 8 p.m. Monday and Wednesday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday.

La Puente Library, 15920 E. Central Ave.: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, and 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Walnut Library, 21155 S. La Puente Road: 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday.

Sunkist Library, La Puente, 840 N. La Puente Ave.: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday.

Norwood Library, El Monte, 4550 N. Peck Road: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.

Duarte Library, 1301 Buena Vista Ave.: 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday.

South El Monte Library, 1430 N. Central Ave.: noon to 7 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday.

Live Oak Library, 4135 Live Oak Ave.: 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday.

Charter Oak Library, 20562 Arrow Highway: 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday.

La Verne Library, 3640 D St.: 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday.

San Gabriel Library, 500 S. Del Mar Ave.: 1 to 8 p.m. Monday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday.
