Former UNLV guard Dexter Boney has signed a contract with the Lakers.

Boney, who was not picked in the June draft, impressed Laker General Manager Jerry West after averaging 11.6 points in the Southern California Pro Summer League.

The Atlanta Hawks have signed free agent center Andrew Lang of the Philadelphia 76ers to a six-year contract. No terms were disclosed.

Lang, 6-11, was Philadelphia’s second leading rebounder and leading shot blocker last season, averaging six rebounds and 1.9 blocks a game.

Senior forward Jevon Crudup has been suspended from the University of Missouri basketball team for the first semester of the 1993-94 school year after he was arrested for drunk driving outside Columbia, Mo. last week.

Hockey

All-Star right wing Mark Recchi has signed a six-year contract with the Philadelphia Flyers. Terms of the contract were not released.

Recchi, 25, was the NHL’s 10th leading scorer with 123 points (53 goals, 70 assists) last season.

Soccer

French soccer officials will probably name Paris-St. Germain, last year’s French league runner-up, to replace scandal-tainted Olympique Marseille in the European Champions Cup tournament, which determines Europe’s best team.

Marseille was barred from the tournament because of its suspected involvement in bribing players to fix a match four months ago.
