UAL-Union Coalition Said to Be in Danger: Talks between a union coalition and United Airlines might be endangered by flight attendants leaving the group, analysts said. In July, the flight attendants, pilots and machinists formed the coalition to begin talks with the company aimed at offering the carrier significant savings on labor in exchange for a substantial equity stake. The company and the unions have engaged in discussions but have not yet reached any agreement.
