Quaker City Federal Savings and La Habra Neighborhood Housing Services were among five honorees that received $5,000 and the Social Compact Outstanding Community Investment Awards.

In Whittier, La Habra Neighborhood Housing Services has managed the rehabilitation of the neighborhood around Whittier Park, including cleanup campaigns and renovation of the park. The group also plans to construct low-cost townhomes on five vacant lots in Whittier.
