Baker & Taylor to Offer CD-ROM Rentals: The company’s Simi Valley-based software unit said it will offer CD-ROM programs that video retailers can rent to customers, just as video games and movies are rented. The rentals in turn should boost sales of CD-ROM titles, said Baker & Taylor, a privately held distributor mainly of books and videos to retailers, schools and libraries.
