NHL ROUNDUP : Maple Leafs Fit to Be Tied, 3-3
Mike McPhee’s goal with 7:30 left in regulation at Dallas Monday night lifted the Stars into a 3-3 tie with Toronto as the Maple Leafs failed to win for the second consecutive game after a record 10-game winning streak at the start of the season.
The Maple Leafs’ streak came to an end with a 5-2 loss to Montreal Saturday night.
Wendel Clark’s third-period goal gave Toronto a 3-2 lead. Clark also had two assists.
St. Louis 4, Hartford 2--Brett Hull scored two goals, including the game-winner, to lead the Blues at Hartford.
Hull’s power-play goal broke a 2-2 tie when he took a centering pass from Craig Janney and beat Hartford goaltender Frank Pietrangelo at 16:02.
