Washington Redskin Coach Richie Petitbon probably will bench quarterback Mark Rypien and go with backup Rich Gannon against the Rams. Sources said Petitbon has instructed his staff to prepare Gannon, who has a sore right foot, to play when practice resumes Wednesday. An announcement on the starter will be made later in the week.
