3 Hurt Near Post-Game Party
A celebration after the USC-UCLA football game turned violent when two people were critically wounded in drive-by shootings and a third was stabbed near a party at the Santa Monica Airport within an hour of one another, police said Sunday.
Adriahna Prothro, 19, a UCLA student, was shot about 9:50 p.m. Saturday while waiting in line outside the Museum of Flying where a rap group was performing at a post-game party, said Santa Monica police Sgt. Mike Fitzsimmons. Three men in a fleeing car were arrested, he said.
Soon after, a man told officers he had been stabbed at the same event, Fitzsimmons said. The man was taken to UCLA Medical Center. A short time later, Fitzsimmons said, a second drive-by shooting several blocks from the airport wounded Zoe Thomas, 21, of Santa Monica. He was taken to UCLA Medical Center in critical condition.
